DESCRIPTION:<p>The International Philosophical Congress will be held 12-17 April 2021 at the Jagiellonian University in Krak&oacute\;w\, Poland.</p>\n<p>The fiftieth anniversary of the death of the eminent Polish philosopher and humanist Roman Ingarden in 2020 is an occasion to launch an international academic debate on <strong>current trends in contemporary philosophy</strong>. The main aim of the organisers is therefore to furnish an international group of researchers with a convenient space for a free and creative exchange of thoughts\, ideas\, and views.</p>\n<p><strong>We invite researchers interested in&nbsp\;contemporary philosophy\, cognitive science and gender/queer studies.&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p>The&nbsp\;Thematic Panels&nbsp\;will be&nbsp\;organized within the following themes:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>contemporary ontology</li>\n<li>contemporary logic</li>\n<li>contemporary epistemology</li>\n<li>contemporary ethics</li>\n<li>contemporary aesthetics</li>\n<li>cognitive science</li>\n<li>feminist philosophy</li>\n<li>gender studies</li>\n<li>queer studies</li>\n<li>posthuman studies</li>\n<li>the philosophy of Roman Ingarden</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Confirmed Keynote Speakers:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Susan Haack</strong>\, University of Miami</p>\n<p><strong>Jeff Mitscherling</strong>\, University of Guelph</p>\n<p><strong>Bence Nanay</strong>\, Univeristy of Antwerp\, Univeristy of Cambridge</p>\n<p><strong>Peter Simons</strong>\, Trinity College Dublin</p>\n<p><strong>Amie Thomasson</strong>\, Dartmouth College</p>\n<p><strong>Dan Zahavi</strong>\, Univeristy of Copenhagen\, Univeristy of Oxford</p>\n<p><strong>Semir Zeki</strong>\,&nbsp\;University College London</p>\n<p><strong>Jan Hertrich-Woleński</strong>\, Jagiellonian University in Krakow</p>\n<p>Please submit<strong> abstracts&nbsp\;of 350 words</strong>&nbsp\;in English by&nbsp\;<strong>1 December 2020</strong>. It should be prepared for a blind review\, while a separate document should include a cover letter containing information such as the title of the presentation and personal details\, such as academic affiliation\, contact details\, and a 100-word note on the author. The speakers accepted for congress will be notified no later than 20 December 2020.
