About the Workshop
\nThe Graduate Philosophical Association at the University of Oklahoma is pleased to host a Writing Sample Workshop on Saturday\, November 16th\, 2019. This workshop is designed specifically for students who are applying to PhD programs in Philosophy this year to receive feedback on their writing samples in a positive and welcoming environment. Instead of a traditional keynote speaker\, we will host a Faculty Panel on &ldquo\;Writing Graduate Level Philosophy.&rdquo\; Several faculty members of the Philosophy Department at the University of Oklahoma will lead an informal discussion and Q&\;A session on strategies to improve writing that are tailored for philosophy graduate students. \;

\nTo be considered for acceptance to the Writing Sample Workshop\, please submit a Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or Adobe PDF (.pdf) document to \;ougraduateconference@gmail.com. \;

\nThe abstracts will be anonymized for our selection procedures. Priority will be given to projects that the graduate philosophical community at the University of Oklahoma is especially well-equipped to provide useful feedback about - for example projects in epistemology\, metaphysics\, ethics\, philosophy of religion\, philosophy of art\, and history of ancient Greek and ancient Chinese philosophy. \;
\nThe Philosophy Department is unable to cover travel expenses but will work with accepted participants to find reasonable accommodations for the duration of the workshop. \;
