Arising in the latter 19th \;century and pushing on into the 20th \;century\, neo-Kantianism played a significant role in shaping the landscapes of both philosophy and the sciences in general. The neo-Kantian school influenced many\, disparate schools of thought from Heidegger and Phenomenology to logical positivism and the Vienna circle to the social sciences of the 20th \;century. These effects continue to be seen today. As a result\, there has been a increasing interest in neo-Kantianism in recent scholarship.
\nWe welcome papers on any topic\, but will give special consideration to papers focusing on neo-Kantianism and its historical contexts\, including papers focusing on competing or alternative strands of thought active before\, during\, and after the reign of neo-Kantianism. Papers should be roughly 3000 words and prepared to be presented in 20 to 25 minutes. We will also consider panel proposals on a specific topic within the general theme of the conference. Panels should consist of three papers\, each roughly 3000 words in length. \; \;For all accepted papers that are not part of a panel\, we will provide comments to be read as part of a 10 to 15 minute Q and A session following each presentation. Accepted panels will have an expanded\, joint Q and A.
