DESCRIPTION:<p>An international conference on the topic "Understanding Progress and Progress in Understanding" will be held at the University of Iceland on June 19th and June 20th\, 2020.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>Confirmed invited speakers</strong> include Catherine Elgin (Harvard)\, Henk De Regt (Radboud) and Michael Strevens (NYU).</p>\n<p>The conference is hosted by the project &lsquo\;Understanding Progress\, in Science and Beyond&rsquo\;\, which is a three-year project based at the University of Iceland\, generously funded by the&nbsp\;Icelandic Research Fund (Rann&iacute\;s). We aim to send notifications of acceptance by February 22nd\, 2020.</p>\n<p><br> <strong>Funding</strong>: We will seek to reimburse travel and accomodation costs up to a maximum of 600 EUR for at least two junior scholars whose abstracts are accepted for presentation.
