DESCRIPTION:<p>The conference brings together prominent national and international scholars to explore the concept of tradition with a particular focus on the philosophical and theological senses of 'Tradition'. Papers will deal with the concept of Sacred Tradition\; how Sacred Tradition relates to other aspects of tradition\; how traditions guide (or undermine) human behaviour and relationships\; and whether tradition is a defensible and valuable concept.<br><br>The centrepiece of the Conference will be a Public Debate chaired by Mr Phillip Adams and aired on ABC Radio National.
