The Department of Philosophy and Ethics Institute invite papers for the 1st Annual LSU Philosophy Ethics Conference entitled &ldquo\;Speaking of Ethics: Thought\, Discourse\, and the Other.&rdquo\; Keynote address by Alexander Duff\, University of North Texas: "Heidegger and the Language of Politics." \;
\nThe conference will take place March 13-14 at the French House on campus. Submissions concerning any area of philosophical ethics\, broadly construed\, are welcome. \;
\nPlease send submissions of up to 3000 words with abstracts up to 250 words to lsuethicsconference@gmail.com. \;
\nPapers should be prepared for blind review in a .doc or .docx formatted in 12 pt. Times New Roman\, 1&rdquo\; margins on all sides\, footnotes (10 pt. Times New Roman)\, justified block quotes. Please title the email subject line &ldquo\;LSU Philosophy Ethics Conference 2020 Submission&rdquo\; and include your name\, academic affiliation\, email address\, paper title\, word count\, and an abstract in the body of the email. Deadline for submissions is February 21st 2020. \;
\nParticipants will be notified of accepted papers on February 28th 2020. Presentation time slots will be twenty minutes each\, with an additional thirty minutes for Q&\;A.
