DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Call for Abstracts</strong></p>\n<p><strong>XI Braga Meetings on Ethics and Political Philosophy</strong></p>\n<p>University of Minho</p>\n<p>Braga\, Portugal</p>\n\n<p><strong>June 17 - 19\, 2020</strong></p>\n\n<p>The Braga Meetings on Ethics and Political Philosophy have established a reputation for providing scholars with an excellent opportunity to present both advanced and exploratory work to a welcoming audience. Graduate students\, junior researchers and senior scholars are welcome to submit their work.</p>\n<p>This event is organized by the CENTRE FOR ETHICS\, POLITICS AND SOCIETY (CEPS)\, University of Minho (Braga).</p>\n<p>Proposals are now welcome.</p>\n<p>This year the Braga Meetings will have as a general topic the &ldquo\;Contemporary Challenges to Citizenship and Democracy&rdquo\; but\, as always\, we welcome proposals in any area of moral\, political\, or legal philosophy and in normative political theory. </p>\n\n<p>This year we will have a roundtable on the general topic with the participation\, among others\, of the keynote speakers. </p>\n\n<p><strong>Keynote speakers</strong> this year will be:</p>\n\n<p>Professor <strong>Richard Bellamy</strong> (University College London\, UK)</p>\n<p>Professor <strong>Caterina Botti</strong> &nbsp\;(Sapienza University\, Italy)</p>\n<p>Professor <strong>Viriato Soromenho Marques</strong> (Universidade de Lisboa\, Portugal)</p>\n\n<p><strong>Abstract submission:</strong></p>\n<p>Proposals must contain an abstract (400-500 words) prepared for blind review\, along with 5 keywords. </p>\n\n<p><strong>Deadline for abstract submissions: April 5\, 2020.</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Deadline for notification of acceptance: April 28\, 2020</strong>.</p>\n\n<p>Abstracts will be analyzed in order of arrival.</p>\n<p>The official language of the conference will be English.</p>\n<p>&nbsp\;A selection of the proceedings will be published online after a review process. </p>\n<p>The link to the website for the submission of abstracts will be announced soon.</p>\n<p>Further information will be provided at short notice. &nbsp\;</p>
