DESCRIPTION:<strong>11th Braga Meetings&nbsp\;on Ethics and Political Philosophy&nbsp\;</strong>\nUniversity of Minho<br>Braga\, Portugal\nJune 17 - 19\, 2020\n<strong>The Braga Meetings on Ethics and Political Philosophy</strong> have established a reputation for providing scholars with an excellent opportunity to present both advanced and exploratory work to a welcoming audience. Graduate students\, junior researchers and senior scholars are welcome to submit their work.&nbsp\;<br><br>This event is organized by the <strong>CENTRE FOR ETHICS\, POLITICS AND SOCIETY (CEPS)</strong>\, <strong>University of Minho (Braga)</strong>. \n&nbsp\;\nThe Braga Meetings on Ethics and Political Philosophy have established a reputation for providing scholars with an excellent opportunity to present both advanced and exploratory work to a welcoming audience. Graduate students\, junior researchers and senior scholars are welcome to submit their work.<br><br>This year the Braga Meetings will have as a general topic the &ldquo\;<strong>Contemporary Challenges to Citizenship and Democracy</strong>&rdquo\; but\, as always\, we welcome proposals in any area of moral\, political\, or legal philosophy and in normative political theory.<br><br>This year we will have a roundtable on the general topic with the participation\, among others\, of the keynote speakers.<br><br><strong>Keynote speakers&nbsp\;</strong>this year will be:\n\n<strong><br>Professor Richard Bellamy (University College London\, UK)<br>Professor Caterina Botti (Sapienza University\, Italy)<br>Professor Viriato Soromenho Marques (Universidade de Lisboa\, Portugal)</strong><br><br><strong>Abstract submission:</strong><br>Proposals must contain an abstract (400-500 words) prepared for blind review\, along with 5 keywords.\n<strong>Deadline for abstract submissions: April 5\, 2020</strong>.<br><strong>Deadline for notification of acceptance: April 28\, 2020</strong>.<br><br>Abstracts will be analyzed in order of arrival.<br>The official language of the conference will be English.<br>A selection of the proceedings will be published online after a review process.<br><br>Further queries must be directed to&nbsp\;<strong>bragameetings@ilch.uminho.pt</strong>
