DESCRIPTION:<p><u>Agency and Intelligence on Multiple Scales (AIMS) Project: Inaugural Research Workshop</u></p>\n<p>We are excited to announce the Agency and Intelligence on Multiple Scales (AIMS) project\, led by Patrick McGivern at the University of Wollongong. This is a two-year project investigating concepts of agency and intelligent action across a wide range of spatial and temporal scales\, from sub-cellular and single-cellular processes to the actions of large-scale collectives.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>AIMS is supported by funding from the Templeton World Charity Foundation and from UOW&rsquo\;s Global Challenges initiative.</p>\n<p>For our inaugural event we are hosting a research workshop with talks by Pamela Lyon and Carrie Figdor at the University of Wollongong&rsquo\;s main campus on Friday\, March 13th.</p>\n<p><u><br></u></p>\n<p><u>AIMS Inaugural Research Workshop - <strong>Friday\, March 13th\, 2020 2-5pm</strong></u></p>\n<p><strong>2.00-2.30 AIMS Project Introduction: Patrick McGivern &amp\; Nick Brancazio (UOW)</strong></p>\n<p><strong>2.30-3.30 Pamela Lyon (Flinders University\, Adelaide)</strong></p>\n<p><strong>3.30-4.00 Coffee break</strong></p>\n<p><strong>4.00-5.00 Carrie Figdor (University of Iowa)</strong></p>\n<p>Talk titles forthcoming.</p>\n<p>Attendance is free and open to all.
