The Memphis Undergraduate Philosophy Circle announces its annual undergraduate conference. Keeping with the vast tradition of Philosophy\, we accept papers on all topics\, new traditions and old. Given the broad field of topics\, we encourage everyone who participates to have an open mind and a desire to learn about the ideas and interests of fellow undergraduate philosophers.
\nThe undergraduate conference will be held at \;Rhodes College\, in conjunction with the \;Midsouth Philosophy Conference\, giving undergraduates the opportunity to participate in the larger philosophical community.
\nConference Style:
\nPapers selected for presentation by the conference committee may be read aloud\, paraphrased\, or otherwise presented with or without the use of aids (PowerPoint\, whiteboard\, etc.). Presentations should be limited to 20 minutes\, in order to give adequate time for questions and discussions.
\nSubmission Guidelines:
\nPapers must:
\n(1) be 3000 words or under
\n(2) include a cover letter stating:
\nthe author's name
\ninstitution
\nmailing address
\ntelephone number
\nand email address

\nThere is no fee for the conference. However\, papers must be received by February 21 in order to be considered.
