DESCRIPTION:<p>The Ontario Legal Philosophy Partnership (OLPP)</p>\n<p>Graduate Conference for Legal Theory</p>\n<p>Co-hosted by:</p>\n<p>McMaster University&rsquo\;s Philosophy Department\,</p>\n<p>York University&rsquo\;s Philosophy Department</p>\n<p>&amp\; Osgoode Hall Law School</p>\n<p>May 8-10\, 2013 at Osgoode Hall Law School</p>\n<p>on the campus of York University\, Toronto ON Canada</p>\n<p>Keynote Speakers:</p>\n<p>John Gardner (Oxford)</p>\n<p>Aileen Kavanagh (Oxford)</p>\n<p><strong>Call for Papers</strong></p>\n<p>We are currently accepting submissions from graduate students and law students from all universities for presentations relating to all areas within legal theory including\, but not limited to:</p>\n<p>&bull\; General and Normative Jurisprudence</p>\n<p>&bull\; The Nature of Law</p>\n<p>&bull\; Law and Morality</p>\n<p>&bull\; Judicial Review / Judicial Activism / Theories of the Judicial Role</p>\n<p>&bull\; Constitutionalism</p>\n<p>&bull\; Feminist Approaches to Legal Theory / Critical Legal Studies</p>\n<p>&bull\; The History of Legal Philosophy</p>\n<p>&bull\; Law and Authority</p>\n<p>&bull\; Controversies related to all areas of law (criminal law\, tort law\, administrative law\, etc.)</p>\n<p>&bull\; International Law</p>\n<p>Papers should be approximately 3000-4000 words in length and be in .doc format. Each presenter will be given a one hour presentation slot\, of which 25-30 minutes will be dedicated to presenting the paper\, with the other 30-35 minutes dedicated to participant responses. An abstract of 100-200 words should accompany all papers. All papers and abstracts must be submitted no later than <strong>January 20\, 2013</strong>.</p>\n<p>A panel of both legal philosophy graduate students and professors at McMaster\, and law students and professors at Osgoode Hall will review submissions using criteria of interest\, sophistication\, and general overlap with similar themes. All papers will be subject to blind review.
