DESCRIPTION:<p><em>Note: the deadline for this call has been extended\, and abstracts will now be accepted in addition to full papers.</em>&nbsp\;<em>If the APA holds an in-person conference in January participants in this session will still have the option of presenting remotely via Zoom or Skype.&nbsp\;</em>The Society for the Philosophic Study of the Contemporary Visual Arts (SPSCVA) invites papers to be presented at its divisional meeting held in conjunction with the Eastern divisional meeting of the American Philosophical Association in New York City from January 4-7\, 2021. Papers may address any topic that involves the connection between philosophy and contemporary visual arts: film\, photography\, video\, or other aesthetic media. Presentations should be 20-25 minutes (10-12 pages in length\; 2500-3000 words). Presenters must be currently paid members of the&nbsp\;SPSCVA&nbsp\;(the annual membership fee is $25).&nbsp\;<em>However\, you do not need to be a member of the&nbsp\;SPSCVA&nbsp\;to submit a paper for consideration.</em>&nbsp\;Please submit&nbsp\;full papers or an abstract of at least 250 words through e-mail by&nbsp\;<strong>July 20</strong>&nbsp\;to the Eastern Division coordinator Christopher Grau at&nbsp\;grau@clemson.edu<br><br>More information about the SPSCVA can be found at:<br>https://www.spscva.net&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><a href="https://www.apaonline.org/events/event_list.asp?cid=6956">https://www.apaonline.org/events/event_list.asp?cid=6956&nbsp\;</a></p>
