DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Open Minds VIII<br> <br> A graduate conference in all areas of philosophy</strong><br> <br> <strong>Monday 1st&nbsp\;July 2013\, University of Manchester<br> <br> Call for papers</strong><br> <br> We are pleased to announce our eighth annual graduate conference. Following on from the success of Open Minds I - VII\, the conference is intended to provide a supportive and stimulating environment for postgraduate students\, and those recently awarded their PhD\, to share and discuss their work.<br> <br> The conference will take place on 1st&nbsp\;July 2013 at the University of Manchester. Our keynote speaker will be Professor John Martin Fischer (University of California\, Riverside).<br> <br> We welcome papers from all areas of philosophical research.<br> <br> Please submit papers of a length suitable for presentation in twenty minutes to <strong>manchesteropenminds8@gmail.com</strong> with subject line 'Submission'. Please submit your paper in a form suitable for blind review. Include a separate cover page giving the title of the paper and your contact details. At the start of the paper itself\, please provide an abstract\, 200 to 500 words in length.<br> <br> The deadline for receipt of submissions is 24th April 2013.
