DESCRIPTION:<p>The 2021 West Coast Plato Workshop will be dedicated to studies of Plato&rsquo\;s&nbsp\;<em>Sophist</em>. It will take place&nbsp\;May 14-16\, 2021\, at Northern Arizona University\, in Flagstaff\, Arizona.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Any presenter or chair will be permitted to present remotely to the conference. If Arizona remains an unsafe destination\, the entire conference will be online. In that case\, rather than a long weekend\, each session will be presented on a separate day on a schedule TBA.<br><br>Submissions should consist in two separate pages: (i) the title of the paper\, name(s)\, academic rank(s)\, affiliation(s)\, and&nbsp\;email&nbsp\;contact(s) of author(s)\; (ii) title and 500-word abstract prepared for blind review. Submissions should be double-spaced in&nbsp\;12 point&nbsp\;font. MSWord\, PDF\, or RTF formats only.</p>\n<p>Refereeing for submissions will be blind and will be done by past and present hosts of the&nbsp\;WCPW. Final selection will attempt to achieve a good balance of participants (senior and junior faculty as well as graduate students).</p>\n<p>We are also soliciting volunteers for those willing to serve as commentators and session chairs.</p>\n<p>DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS:&nbsp\;<strong>OCTOBER 1\, 2020.</strong>&nbsp\;Please send paper proposals and/or volunteer as a commentator or chair to&nbsp\;ghr@nau.edu&nbsp\;.&nbsp\;</p>
