DESCRIPTION:<p>The proclamation of World Logic Day by the UNESCO\, in partnership with the CIPSH\, is intended to draw attention of inter-disciplinary scientific communities and the general public to the intellectual history\, conceptual meaning and practical implications of logic.</p>\n<p>To this end\, the <em>Peruvian Society of Epistemology and Logic</em> (SPEL) calls the academic community to participate in its First World Logic Day event\, to be celebrated on <strong>January 13-15\, 2021</strong>.</p>\n<p><strong>Talks</strong></p>\n<p>We receive talks on any logic-related subject. Proposals should be submitted either as (a) extended abstracts (500-1500 words) or as (b) papers (3000-6000 words\, including a 200 words abstract). In both cases\, submissions should be prepared for blind review\; that is\, they should omit any reference to the identity of the author\, including names\, institution\, e-mail\, etc.</p>\n<p><strong>Note.</strong> In case (b)\, we suggest authors affiliated to a Peruvian institution to apply through the <em>Francisco Mir&oacute\; Quesada Logic Prize 2021</em>:&nbsp\;<a href="https://spel.org.pe/premio-logica-2021/">https://spel.org.pe/premio-logica-2021/</a></p>\n<p>Papers should be sent through our Easychair site\, or to dia.logica@spel.org.pe with subject "Talk"\, indicating in the body of the message the name\, affiliation\, email of the author.</p>\n<p>The deadline for submission of abstracts and papers is <strong>Sunday\, November 1\, 2020</strong>.</p>\n<p><strong>Round tables</strong></p>\n<p>We received proposals for round table discussions of three to five speakers related to any area of logic. Proposals should be sent to dia.logica@spel.org.pe with subject "Round Table"\, indicating:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Name\, affiliation and e-mail address of the organiser and each participant</li>\n<li>Summary of the subject of the round table (300-500 words)</li>\n<li>Abstract of each intervention (300-500 words) or list of publications relevant to the topic of each participant.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The deadline for sending proposals for round tables is <strong>Sunday\, November 1\, 2020</strong>.</p>\n<p><strong>Publication</strong></p>\n<p>In this edition\, we are especially interested in contributions related to the topics developed by Francisco Mir&oacute\; Quesada Cantuarias\, among which are included:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Philosophy of Logic and Mathematics</li>\n<li>Theory of Reason</li>\n<li>Logic and Metaphysics</li>\n<li>Non-classical\, Heterodox and Paraconsistent Logics&nbsp\;</li>\n<li>Deontic Logic and Logic of Law</li>\n<li>Pedagogy of Logic and Mathematics</li>\n<li>History of Latin American Logic</li>\n<li>Studies of the FMQC&rsquo\;s works on these topics</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Selected contributions related to these topics will be invited to participate in a special issue of the <em>South American Journal of Logic</em> dedicated to Francisco Mir&oacute\; Quesada Cantuarias\, edited by Luis Felipe Bartolo Alegre\, Jos&eacute\; Carlos Cifuentes and Evandro Luis Gomes.
