DESCRIPTION:<p>The concepts of character and personality play important roles in moral \nphilosophy\, legal theory\, and public policy. But there is considerable \ndebate over how these concepts should be understood\, how they are \nrelated to values\, goals\, attitudes\, beliefs\, desires\, and automatic \ncognitive processing. This conference will bring together philosophers\, \npsychologists\, and other researchers leading this debate to discuss \ntheir current work.</p>\n\n<p>Researchers wishing to present work at the conference are invited to \nsubmit abstracts of no more than 1000 words by the deadline of 31 \nJanuary. Please bear in mind that presentations should last no more than\n 30 minutes and should take the form of lectures rather than paper \nreadings. Authors of selected abstracts may be invited to submit a full \nversion of the paper for publication in an edited book with a leading \nacademic publisher.<br> <br> Abstracts should be prepared for anonymous review. Please submit as doc or pdf attachments to <a href="mailto:webberj1@cardiff.ac.uk">webberj1@cardiff.ac.uk</a> with 'Paris submission' in the subject line.
