DESCRIPTION:<p>SYMPHILOSOPHIE:&nbsp\;International Journal of Philosophical Romanticism&nbsp\;is now accepting submissions of&nbsp\;original research&nbsp\;articles for&nbsp\;<strong>the&nbsp\;miscellaneous section</strong>&nbsp\;of its third issue (2021).<br><br>&ndash\; The research articles for issue 3 may be on any topic related to German romantic philosophy. Contributors are also invited to submit review essays\, book reviews and new translations.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The submission deadline&nbsp\;<strong>for this third issue</strong>&nbsp\;is:&nbsp\;<strong>31 May 2021</strong>.</p>\n<p>We are also very pleased to announce&nbsp\;<strong>Leif Weatherby</strong>&nbsp\;(NYU) as guest editor of&nbsp\;<strong>Symphilosophie&nbsp\;3 (2021)</strong>. He will be in charge of the main section of the issue devoted to the topic:&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>&ldquo\;Science\, Technology\, and Early German Romanticism.&rdquo\;<br></strong></p>\n<p>SYMPHILOSOPHIE: International Journal of Philosophical Romanticism is a quadrilingual\, open-access and peer-reviewed journal for new academic research on German romantic philosophy. The journal is above all placed under the banner of the philosophy of&nbsp\;Fr&uuml\;hromantik\, or Early German Romanticism. Accordingly\, the authors especially to be treated are the principal thinkers of philosophical romanticism: Friedrich Schlegel\, August Wilhelm&nbsp\;Schlegel\, Novalis (Friedrich von Hardenberg)\, as well as philosophical writers like H&ouml\;lderlin\, Friedrich Schleiermacher\, August Ludwig H&uuml\;lsen\, Ludwig Tieck<strong>&nbsp\;</strong>and K. W. F. Solger. <br><br>These thinkers are to be considered from the different philosophical perspectives present in their works: e.g. in terms of epistemology\, metaphysics\, nature\, ethics\, aesthetics\, anthropology\, history\, politics\, religion\, and so on\, and/or in&nbsp\;relation&nbsp\;to other philosophical streams and figures such as Plato\, Spinoza\, Kant\, Fichte\, Herder\, Hemsterhuis\, Schelling\, Hegel etc.&nbsp\;SYMPHILOSOPHIE&nbsp\;also accords an important place to the writings of the female thinkers of romanticism\, including among others:&nbsp\;Caroline Schlegel\, Dorothea Veit\, Karoline von G&uuml\;nderrode\, Sophie Mereau\, Bettina von Arnim\, or Madame de Sta&euml\;l.</p>\n<p>SYMPHILOSOPHIE&nbsp\;is part of the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. <br><br>We accept submissions in four languages:&nbsp\;<strong>English\, German\, French and Italian</strong>.</p>\n<p>Research articles are subject to&nbsp\;<strong>double-blind peer review.</strong>&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>All submitted texts must adhere to the submission guidelines of the journal:&nbsp\;https://symphilosophie.com/submission-guidelines/\, and the journal&rsquo\;s code of ethics:&nbsp\;https://symphilosophie.com/submission-guidelines/publication-ethics/.
