SYMPHILOSOPHIE: \;International Journal of Philosophical Romanticism \;is now accepting submissions of \;original research \;articles for \;the \;miscellaneous section \;of its third issue (2021).
&ndash\; The research articles for issue 3 may be on any topic related to German romantic philosophy. Contributors are also invited to submit review essays\, book reviews and new translations. \;
The submission deadline \;for this third issue \;is: \;31 May 2021.
\nWe are also very pleased to announce \;Leif Weatherby \;(NYU) as guest editor of \;Symphilosophie \;3 (2021). He will be in charge of the main section of the issue devoted to the topic: \;
\n&ldquo\;Science\, Technology\, and Early German Romanticism.&rdquo\;
SYMPHILOSOPHIE: International Journal of Philosophical Romanticism is a quadrilingual\, open-access and peer-reviewed journal for new academic research on German romantic philosophy. The journal is above all placed under the banner of the philosophy of \;Frü\;hromantik\, or Early German Romanticism. Accordingly\, the authors especially to be treated are the principal thinkers of philosophical romanticism: Friedrich Schlegel\, August Wilhelm \;Schlegel\, Novalis (Friedrich von Hardenberg)\, as well as philosophical writers like Hö\;lderlin\, Friedrich Schleiermacher\, August Ludwig Hü\;lsen\, Ludwig Tieck \;and K. W. F. Solger.
These thinkers are to be considered from the different philosophical perspectives present in their works: e.g. in terms of epistemology\, metaphysics\, nature\, ethics\, aesthetics\, anthropology\, history\, politics\, religion\, and so on\, and/or in \;relation \;to other philosophical streams and figures such as Plato\, Spinoza\, Kant\, Fichte\, Herder\, Hemsterhuis\, Schelling\, Hegel etc. \;SYMPHILOSOPHIE \;also accords an important place to the writings of the female thinkers of romanticism\, including among others: \;Caroline Schlegel\, Dorothea Veit\, Karoline von Gü\;nderrode\, Sophie Mereau\, Bettina von Arnim\, or Madame de Staë\;l.

We accept submissions in four languages: \;English\, German\, French and Italian.
Research articles are subject to \;double-blind peer review. \;
\nAll submitted texts must adhere to the submission guidelines of the journal: \;https://symphilosophie.com/submission-guidelines/\, and the journal&rsquo\;s code of ethics: \;https://symphilosophie.com/submission-guidelines/publication-ethics/. Any submission not following these guidelines will not be considered. \;
\nIn September 2020 we launched the \;&ldquo\;Preprint&rdquo\; \;section on the journal&rsquo\;s website\, where certain articles may be viewed online that have already passed the peer-review process and are awaiting their final publication.
\nThe second issue of \;SYMPHILOSOPHIE \;on &ldquo\;The Women Writers of Philosophical Romanticism&rdquo\; will be published in December 2020.
