DESCRIPTION:
On the&nbsp\;9th&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;10th June 2021 a workshop on value incommensurability will take place at Lund University\, Sweden.
\n

The workshop will focus on how one can account for value incommensurability\, its implications for ethical theory and decision theory. How are we to account for cases in which we find it hard to compare objects and options (e.g.\, parity or vagueness)? What can these hard cases tell us about topics in ethical theory (e.g.\, &nbsp\;population axiology)? &nbsp\;And how can a rational choice be made if choice alternatives are not related in a conventional&nbsp\;way (e.g.\, completeness as a rational constraint)?
\n

We welcome contributions from all fields of philosophy that&nbsp\;relate in some manner to the above.
The two-day workshop will feature keynote presentations by Wlodek Rabinowicz and Chrisoula Andreou. The workshop will take place the days before the Swedish Congress of Philosophy and the participants can consider to also visit the congress.
\n
Submission can take the form of full papers but submissions containing only an extended abstract will also be considered. The deadline for submitting a proposal has been extended to January 15\, 2021. For more info on how to submit a proposal see&nbsp\;https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=vi21

The workshop is organised by Anders Herlitz and Henrik Andersson.&nbsp\;Attendance is free of charge.
\n
If it is impossible to arrange the conference due to covid regulations the conference will be postponed.
