DESCRIPTION:<p>We are pleased to invite submissions to&nbsp\;<em>The Ideas of Jordan Peterson</em>&nbsp\;to be published by Carus Books.</p>\n<p>Please see the CFA (below) for the full details including possible topics. Please contact the listed editors with questions.</p>\n<p><strong>Call for Abstracts<br> <em><br>The Ideas of Jordan Peterson*</em></strong></p>\n<p>This volume will be a collection of critical studies of the thinking of Jordan Peterson. While complying with scholarly standards of accuracy and cogency\, we&rsquo\;re looking for user-friendly essays with immediate appeal to those who follow Peterson (sympathetically or unsympathetically)&mdash\;direct and unpretentious prose which will be immediately readable by the intelligent non-academic. So\, substantial critical content\, but written in a clear and entertaining style\, aimed at an intelligent\, lay audience is desired.</p>\n<p>Chapters must focus on topics or ideas that are significantly connected to the life\, work\, or cultural impact of Jordan Peterson\, but especially to the actual content of the ideas he advocates. We expect the chapters to come from diverse points of view\, rather than reflecting any specific standpoint.</p>\n<p>Papers should not be primarily expressions of agreement or disagreement with Peterson&rsquo\;s general outlook\, but should critically and fairly assess particular aspects of Peterson&rsquo\;s thinking. Any relevant topic will be considered\, but some possibilities include Peterson&rsquo\;s&nbsp\;ideas on freedom of speech\, political correctness\, psychological research\, psychotherapy\, hierarchy\, revolution\, mental health\, political reform\, religion\, myth and story\, atheism\, Dostoyevsky\, Nietzsche\, or Jung.</p>\n<p><strong>Submission Guidelines:</strong></p>\n<p>1. Submission deadline for abstracts (300 words) and CV(s): December 20\, 2020</p>\n<p>2. Notification of accepted abstracts: January 31\, 2021</p>\n<p>3. Final papers should be approximately 3\,500 words. Submission deadline for drafts of accepted papers: May 15\, 2021.</p>\n<p>3.
