DESCRIPTION:<p>Call for Proposals<br>Workshop on Ethics &amp\; Policy</p>\n<p><br>The Center for Ethics &amp\; Policy and the Department of Philosophy at Carnegie Mellon University invite paper abstracts for a Workshop on Ethics &amp\; Policy to be hosted virtually February 19-20\, 2021.</p>\n<p><br>The theme for our workshop is &ldquo\;Political Philosophy in Bioethics&rdquo\;. Untenured faculty\, postdoctoral fellows\, independent scholars\, and job market ready doctoral students are invited to submit proposals. Submissions are welcome on any topic relevant to the workshop theme. Some preference will be given to papers related to issues of justice or structural injustice in medicine\, public health\, and health-related research and policy.</p>\n<p><br>Submissions are due December 11\, 2020. Submissions should be submitted via email to centerforethicsandpolicy@gmail.com. Emails should include the full name\, contact information\, and institutional affiliation of the author(s)\, as well as a detailed abstract of up to 1000 words prepared for blind review in .docx or .pdf format. Notifications will be made by mid-January.</p>\n<p><br>In support of a productive workshop\, accepted papers will be circulated in advance of the conference so that all participants can read them ahead of time and the meeting can focus on critical feedback and discussion.
