DESCRIPTION:<p>9th&nbsp\;Annual University of Calgary Philosophy Graduate Conference</p>\n<p>Call for Papers</p>\n<p><strong>Trusting relationships between science and the public:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Locating problems and generating solutions</strong></p>\n<p>The central question of this online conference will be &ldquo\;How can we constructively criticize science from a variety of perspectives\, without further damaging public trust in science?&rdquo\;</p>\n<p>Conference dates: April 30 - May 1\, 2021.</p>\n<p>Submissions should be papers of up to 3000 words (not including abstract or bibliography\, but including footnotes/endnotes)\, prepared for blind review and suitable for a 20-minute presentation.</p>\n<p>Organizers especially encourage submissions from members of marginalized groups.</p>\n<p>Deadline for submission is March 1st\, 2021</p>\n<p>Paper topics may include but are not limited to:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>general philosophy of science</li>\n<li>trust and criticism of science</li>\n<li>feminist philosophy of science</li>\n<li>indigenous criticisms of science</li>\n<li>intersectional criticisms of science</li>\n<li>social epistemology</li>\n<li>environmental ethics</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Keynote: Naomi Scheman (Minnesota)<br></strong></p>\n<p>All questions about submissions should be emailed to: philopgsa@ucalgary.ca</p>\n<p>CFP webpage:&nbsp\;https://easychair.org/cfp/UCPGSA_9</p>
