The Journal&nbsp\;publishes articles\, notes\, discussions\, and reviews written in English\, Italian or French.

The volume&nbsp\;Locke in the Enlightenment&nbsp\;aims to present a rigorous\, innovative and interdisciplinary&nbsp\;analysis of the presence of Locke&rsquo\;s ideas in the age of the Enlightenment\, considered in its cultural&nbsp\;and national varieties.
\n
Locke played a significant role in the shaping of modernity\, as a source of inspiration for both&nbsp\;philosophical and political revolutions. The&nbsp\;Essay&nbsp\;is well acknowledged to have been at the root of&nbsp\;two defining features of Enlightenment philosophy\, empiricism and scepticism. The&nbsp\;Reasonableness&nbsp\;prepared the ground for the prolific debate on the relationship between faith and&nbsp\;reason that was fundamental to the reassessment of religion in the Enlightenment. Furthermore\,&nbsp\;Locke&rsquo\;s political philosophy fostered ideas that had an impact on momentous historical events such&nbsp\;as the American and French Revolutions. In general\, Locke turns out to be a recurring reference in&nbsp\;the main philosophical debates of the 18th century. The aim of the volume is to reassess this issue\,&nbsp\;focussing on the presence and circulation of Locke&rsquo\;s ideas in the philosophic and scientific milieu&nbsp\;of the Enlightenment. We also aim to widen the scope of research\, including topics such as&nbsp\;ontology\, epistemology\, philosophy of religion\, and philosophy of language. Historical studies\,&nbsp\;tracing the translation and reception of Locke&rsquo\;s writings in Europe and beyond throughout the 18th&nbsp\;century\, are also welcome.
\n
The volume is intended to include high-quality essays that either concentrate on existing&nbsp\;discussions in the field of philosophical historiography\, or propose new interpretative paths.&nbsp\;As far&nbsp\;as approach and methodology are concerned\, we are equally interested in conceptual analyses of&nbsp\;historical-theoretical significance\, and in detailed historical reconstructions.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;
\n
&laquo\;Studi Lockiani. Ricerche sull&rsquo\;et&agrave\; moderna&raquo\; invites interested scholars to contribute. In line with&nbsp\;the spirit of the Journal\, contributions are expected to provide analyses from different perspectives&nbsp\;in order to shed new light on this theme.
\n
Abstracts (500-800 words) should be submitted by&nbsp\;April 30\, 2021. Please use &ldquo\;Abstract\, [your&nbsp\;name]&rdquo\; as the subject of your email. In the text of the email\, please include 1) the title of your&nbsp\;paper\, 2) your institutional affiliation\, and 3) your preferred email contact address.
