DESCRIPTION:<p>MindGrad is a long-established and well-respected graduate conference held annually in the University of Warwick.&nbsp\;Our topic this year is <strong>The Consciousness of Time</strong>. The conference will be held via Zoom on the 26th and 27th of June 2021.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>We are honoured to have <strong>Professor John Campbell</strong> (UC Berkeley) and <strong>Professor Natalja Deng</strong> (Yonsei University) attendance. Professor Campbell and Professor Deng will be giving talks on topics related to the consciousness of time.</p>\n<p>We are currently seeking graduate students interested in presenting at this year's MindGrad conference. We welcome <strong>papers of up to 4\,500 words</strong> (excluding bibliography)\, suitable for a 30-minute presentation. Papers should be accompanied by an <strong>abstract of around 300 words</strong>.</p>\n<p>Papers should relate to the consciousness of time and might discuss questions such as:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>What makes it possible for us to experience and represent change\, motion and stasis?</li>\n<li>Are experiences necessarily temporal? Or could there be experience without time?</li>\n<li>Is there such a thing as the specious present? If so\, how should we understand it?</li>\n<li>What explains temporally asymmetric emotions\, and can they be justified?</li>\n<li>What is involved in the grasp of tenses\, or the concept of particular times?</li>\n</ul>\n<p>The deadline for submissions is the <strong>30th of April 2021</strong>.</p>\n<p>Papers should be submitted electronically via EasyChair using the following link:&nbsp\;<strong>https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=mindgrad2021</strong>.</p>\n<p>To submit a paper\, you must first create an EasyChair account or sign into an existing EasyChair account.
