DESCRIPTION:
The Slovak-Austrian Philosophy of Language Network (https://danzeman.weebly.com/slovak-austrian-cooperation.html) announces an online talk by Daniela Glavaničov&aacute\; (Slovak Academy of Sciences/Comenius University) &amp\; Matteo Pascucci (Slovak Academy of Sciences/Central European University)\, entitled "Regret and Responsibility Represented via Alternative Semantics for Modal Logic". The talk is on Monday\, MARCH 15 at 17.15 CET\, and is hosted by the Logik Caf&eacute\;\, University of Vienna (https://logik-cafe.univie.ac.at). Please write to&nbsp\;danczeman@gmail.com&nbsp\;or&nbsp\;matteopascucci@yahoo.com&nbsp\;if you want to participate.

Here is the abstract of the presentation:

"Regret and responsibility represented via alternative semantics for modal logic"
We provide a fine-grained analysis of notions of regret and responsibility (such as agent-regret and individual responsibility) in terms of a language of multimodal logic. We interpret this logic via two sorts of models: (i) synonymy models\, which are equipped with a relation of propositional synonymy\, and (ii) relating models\, which are equipped with a relation of propositional pertinence. We show that\, under certain conditions\, it is possible to provide a translation between the two semantics.
