This project focused on certain ideals\, which guided mathematical reasoning throughout its history. A substantial body of publications and lectures has grown out of this project. They can be consulted under&nbsp\;http://halshs.archives-ouvertes.fr/IP/fr/.</p>\n<p>As a continuation of this project\, the special issue of&nbsp\;<em>Philosophia Scientiae&nbsp\;</em>focuses on&nbsp\;standards of mathematical&nbsp\;rigor&nbsp\;concerning the varieties of&nbsp\;methodological\, ontological\, proof-theoretical questions. It is intended to tackle the questions in the framework of the philosophy of mathematical practice. Any critical reaction to the topics involved in the&nbsp\;<em>Ideal of Proof</em>&nbsp\;project will also be welcome.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The editors will introduce the special issue.</p>\n<p>Manuscripts should be submitted in English\, French\, or German\, and be prepared for anonymous peer review.
