DESCRIPTION:<p>Deadline for submission of papers:&nbsp\;January 31\, 2014</p>\n<p>The Hegel Society's 2014 Biennial Meeting will examine the question of&nbsp\;Hegel&rsquo\;s thought and its relation to metaphysics. We invite papers that&nbsp\;address the topic historically\, systematically\, or with reference to current&nbsp\;debates\, and welcome contributions from across the spectrum of contemporary&nbsp\;Hegel studies. We welcome submissions that address the question generally as&nbsp\;well as submissions that discuss its relevance for particular aspects of&nbsp\;Hegel&rsquo\;s philosophy.<br><br>Submissions are limited to 6\,000 words. Later adjustments must remain within&nbsp\;this limit. Submissions must be formatted for blind review and accompanied&nbsp\;by an abstract of no more than 300 words. They must be complete essays\;&nbsp\;draft proposals are not acceptable. All papers should be in English.&nbsp\;Although papers presented at meetings of the Hegel Society of America are&nbsp\;usually published as a collection\, publication cannot be guaranteed. &nbsp\;By&nbsp\;submitting a paper\, however\, the author agrees to reserve publication for&nbsp\;HSA proceedings if the paper is accepted for the program\, and if the program&nbsp\;is accepted for publication.</p>\n<p>Please send papers to:<br>Allegra de Laurentiis\, Program Chair<br>allegra.delaurentiis@stonybrook.edu</p>
