The \;Paternalism\, Health\, and Public Policy project (funded by the Wellcome Trust) is pleased to announce its first workshop\, on the topic of 'Paternalism and Public Health'. The workshop will take place on the 14th and 15th September online via Zoom. The workshop is co-hosted with the \;UK Faculty of Public Health. \;
\nThe \;workshop will focus on overarching questions and methodological approaches. One important issue concerns the relationship between public health ethics &ndash\; which focuses on populations and the &lsquo\;common good&rsquo\; &ndash\; and bioethics more generally &ndash\; which typically evaluates interactions between health-workers and particular individuals.
\nThe workshop will feature speaker presentations as well as a roundtable discussion focussing on the Faculty's \;Nanny State report.
