DESCRIPTION:<p>Abstract. Truth\, goodness\, and beauty are three topics that have historically been central concerns of philosophers. Yet each of them has an elusive quality. Since Plato one tradition has pointed towards high metaphysics in each case. Yet in the contemporary climate minimalist or deflationary approaches have gained much ground\, and amongst analytic philosophers there is considerable doubt whether any more substantive theory is either necessary\, or possible.
