DESCRIPTION:
The Creighton Club\, founded in 1921\, is the principal historic meeting ground for philosophers in upstate and western New York. Our April 2022 conference (rescheduled from 2021) is our centennial. The centennial comprises an&nbsp\;almost&nbsp\;all-keynote program\, featuring&nbsp\;Louise Antony\,&nbsp\;Earl Conee\, Nicole Hassoun\,&nbsp\;Jessica Moss\, and&nbsp\;Ted Sider. The conference will also include a talk by the winner of the Graduate Student Presentation Award (see earlier post below). We would love to have you join us at Colgate University in bucolic Hamilton\, NY for this centennial celebration!

The conference is supported by a generous grant from the Central New York Humanities Corridor and by the Marion Hoeflich Memorial Fund (through Colgate University's Philosophy Department). In addition to allowing us to bring in our excellent lineup of speakers\, we have some funding for communal meals to encourage interaction and community outside of the talks - how far this will go depends on attendance. Additionally\, faculty\, staff\, and graduate students at institutions that are members of the Central New York Humanities Corridor can apply to have their their travel and lodging reimbursed (details available at https://www.cnycorridor.net/resources/intra-corridor-travel-supplement/). Member institutions are: Syracuse University\, Cornell University\, University of Rochester\, Colgate University\, Hamilton College\, Hobart and William Smith College\, Skidmore College\, St. Lawrence University\, Union College\, Le Moyne College\, and Rochester Institute of Technology.
\n

It would be helpful for planning purposes to have an estimate of the number of attendees. So we'd appreciate if you filled out our RSVP survey through this link. If you are currently unsure\, that information helps us plan as well. Thanks so much for promptly providing us this useful info! &nbsp\; Tentative Schedule of Events

Friday April 8
\n
Evening
\n
Nicole Hassoun (Binghamton University)
Sponsored by the Colgate Philosophy Department
\n
Saturday April 9
\n
Morning
\n
Louise Anthony&nbsp\;(University of Massachusetts Amherst)&nbsp\;
\n
Earl Conee&nbsp\;(University of Rochester)
\n

Afternoon
\n
Graduate Student Presentation Award Winner&nbsp\;(TBD)
\n
Jessica Moss&nbsp\;(New York University)
\n
Ted Sider&nbsp\;(Rutgers University)&nbsp\; &nbsp\; &nbsp\;
\n

\n
Evening
\n
Conference Dinner
\n

\n
Sunday April 10
\n
Morning
\n
Hike on local trails (weather permitting\, for those who are still in town)
&nbsp\;

More information can be found at:
