DESCRIPTION:<p>Academic journal&nbsp\;<em>Studia Europaea</em>&nbsp\;is pleased to invite submissions for upcoming issue:&nbsp\;<em>Ethics of International Relations</em>.</p>\n<p><strong>Deadline for Submission: 1st&nbsp\;of May 2013</strong></p>\n<p>Since 1996\, the academic journal&nbsp\;<em>Studia Europaea</em>\, issued by the Faculty of European Studies within Babeş-Bolyai University\, has been representing an open arena for promoting research endeavours.&nbsp\;By launching the Call for Papers\,&nbsp\;<em>Studia Europaea</em>&nbsp\;welcomes to receive articles that will be grouped in six sections:International organizations and the meaning of &ldquo\;progress&rdquo\;\; Peace and human security\; Citizenship\, otherness and migration\; Ethics of sustainable development\; Gender in global politics\; and&nbsp\;<em>Varia</em>. &nbsp\; In 2013 we are particularly seeking submissions that address the following topics from a variety of theoretical perspectives:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>International organizations and the meaning of &ldquo\;progress&rdquo\;</strong>&nbsp\;</li>\n</ul>\n<p>International economic institutions and human rights\; the ethical implication of finance\, nature\, and role of international finance in global affairs.</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Peace and human security</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>New understandings of security\; the ethics of peace building\; conceptualizing &ldquo\;peace&rdquo\;.</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Citizenship\, otherness and migration</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>The concept of the other\, foreign workers\, migrants\; international criminal networks\, human trafficking\, and laborers\; the role and limitations of international institutions and global governance mechanisms.</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Ethics of sustainable development</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>The role of environment in security issues\; democracy and the environment\; access to/distribution of resources\; responsibilities and cooperation on global issues.</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Gender in global politics</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Gender and global justice\; women and development\; gender and human rights\; gender and peace\; gender and health.</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Varia</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Book review (critical&nbsp\;reviews&nbsp\;of&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;latest&nbsp\;books&nbsp\;related&nbsp\;to&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;field of international relations)\; and Forum (open&nbsp\;for&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;BA&nbsp\;and&nbsp\;MA&nbsp\;students&nbsp\;in&nbsp\;the&nbsp\;fields&nbsp\;mentioned&nbsp\;above). &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>DEADLINE:&nbsp\;<strong>1st&nbsp\;of May 2013</strong> &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>RESPONSE TIME: Estimated 2 weeks</p>\n<p>STYLE: Guidelines for authors are available at&nbsp\;http://www.euro.ubbcluj.ro/studia/guide.htm &nbsp\; SUBMISSION: Manuscripts should be submitted as Microsoft Word files to: <strong>Dr. Sergiu Miscoiu:&nbsp\;</strong>miscoiu@yahoo.com <strong>Dr. Laura Herta:&nbsp\;</strong>lauragongola@yahoo.com<strong>&nbsp\;or&nbsp\;</strong>laura.herta@euro.ubbcluj.ro <strong>Dr. Ana Pantea:&nbsp\;</strong>apantea@euro.ubbcluj.ro </p>\n<p>The journal is refereed by international specialists and officially acknowledged by the Romanian National University Research Council (CNCSIS).&nbsp\;<em>Studia Europaea</em>&nbsp\;is covered by several prestigious databeses\, such as ProQuest CSA Worldwide Political Science Abstracts\, ProQuest CSA Sociological Abstracts or Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL). Each article is reviewed by two independent academics in a &ldquo\;double blind&rdquo\; system. Senior as well as junior academics from Europe and from the United States have found in&nbsp\;<em>Studia Europaea</em>&nbsp\;a way of expressing their preoccupations by publishing academic articles that have focused on the European experience and perspectives in various fields of social science.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>
