DESCRIPTION:<p>Thanks to the Tulsa Community College Foundation\, I invite philospohy teachers/scholars to submit explanatory texts on philosophy.</p>\n<p>Selected authors will be published in the following OER textbook:&nbsp\;https://open.library.okstate.edu/introphilosophy/&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Thanks to the TCC Foundation\, selected authors will receive a $100 stipend.</p>\n<p>Content can cover any philosopher\, approach to philosophy\, or philosophical problem/theme provided it is appropriate for <strong>1st and 2nd year college students</strong>.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>Submission Deadline:&nbsp\;</strong>November 15th\, 11:59pm CT</p>\n<p><strong>Publication Date:</strong> Summer 2022</p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>authors hold at least a Master's Degree in Philosophy or a related field</li>\n<li>a statment from pontential contributor(s)\, including teaching specialties and contact information</li>\n<li>entries should be submitted as a Word document\, and:</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br>a) be prepared for blind review<br>b) contain approximately 1\,000-3\,000 words\; shorter and longer submissions may also be accepted<br>c) include 2-3 substantial quotations from works or ideas being introduced (i.e. primary texts)<br>d) include 3-4 suggested readings\, podcasts\, videos\, pop culture examples OR 3-4 discussion questions</p>\n<p>Authors may submit up to two submissions (please submit in separate emails)</p>\n<p>Email entries and a statement of intent to heather.wilburn1@tulsacc.edu In the subject line indicate: "OER Submission"</p>\n
