An enigmatic figure to be sure\, 'Cangallerie' is mentioned nowhere else in Kant's corpus and his name is in any case omitted from the version of the text published in 1798. In this presentation\, I make a case for the (likely) identity of 'Cangallerie'\, consider why Kant might have seen fit to include him in the footnote in the handwritten text in the first place\, and then speculate as to the (broadly) philosophical considerations that might have led Kant to think better about mentioning him in the published version.
\n
Zoom Invitation:
\n
Topic: Corey Dyck philosophy colloquium talk
\n
Time: Apr 1\, 2022 03:30 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
\n
Join Zoom Meeting:&nbsp\;https://westernuniversity.zoom.us/j/94068350659
\n
Meeting ID: 940 6835 0659
\n
Passcode: 490539
