Submissions will be selected according to argumentative strength\, clarity\, originality\, and accessibility to a general philosophical audience. Participating papers will be given 60 minutes (30 minutes presentation\, 10 minutes commentary\, and 20 minutes open discussion). Senior faculty members at the department will give the comments\, in so far as it is possible.\n\nSubmission Guidelines: Deadline for submission is 1 May 2013. The application should contain the following: \n

A cover letter containing (a) author&rsquo\;s name\, (b) institutional affiliation\, (c) contact information (email\, phone number\, mailing address)\, (d) title of the paper\, (e) word count\, and (f) area(s) of the paper (e.g. ethics\, metaphysics\, epistemology\, philosophy of language\, etc.).

  2. The paper\, which should not exceed 3000 words (including footnotes\, excluding abstract). The paper should be prepared for blind review\, and should include an abstract of no more than 250 words.
