As part of it's 2022 Conference\, the Centre for the Study of Existential Risk at the University of Cambridge is inviting submissions for \;online lightning talks from members of the GCR/X-Risk related community!
These lightning talks will relate to the study and management of existential and global catastrophic \;risk and will take place on the afternoons (BST) of Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th of April 2022. \;Talks are welcome on any subject and in any style\, so long as they are relevant to one or more of the \;conference themes which this year will be:
We ask that all talks adhere to the Wittgenstein standard of lasting no longer than 7 minutes. If \;accepted for presentation\, this will be your opportunity to highlight your research to the rest of the \;GCR/X-Risk community. We will then provide a virtual space where interested audience members \;can follow up with the speaker to ask questions and explore shared interests and potential \;collaborations. The talks (but not the follow-up discussion) will be recorded and lightly edited\, and \;you will have the choice of whether they are published (through CSER's channels and your own.)
