DESCRIPTION:<p><u>Website:</u></p>\n<p>https://cpsco.weebly.com/</p>\n<p><u>Description:</u></p>\n<p>Social categories like &ldquo\;Indigenous&rdquo\;\, &ldquo\;white&rdquo\;\, &ldquo\;female&rdquo\;\, and &ldquo\;Christian&rdquo\; play a prominent role in shaping our lives and determine\, to at least some extent\, whether one is likely to be oppressed. This conference is focused on the ontology of social categories and their interaction with dynamics of oppression.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Papers will address questions such as:&nbsp\; How should we conceive of oppression in general\, or of particular forms of oppression?&nbsp\; How should we conceive of social categorisation\, or of particular social categories?
