DESCRIPTION:<p>Perspectives: UCD Postgraduate Journal of Philosophy is opening a cover art competition for its December 2021 special issue on &lsquo\;Social Philosophy&rsquo\;. The prize winner will receive a &euro\;100 one-for-all voucher.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>We welcome submissions from creators\, arts and crafts makers\, and artists from all backgrounds\, with or without a formal education in art\, philosophy\, or cognate disciplines.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>All art forms that are suitable for an academic journal front cover are encouraged\, be they figurative\, abstract or conceptual. Genres can span\, but are not limited to\, the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Paintings or drawings</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Digital Art works</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Photographs</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Art installations</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Sculptures</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Collages and assemblages</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Pictures of performing art (dance\, theatre\, music\, ....)</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Video thumbnails\, etc.</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Arts and crafts pieces (tapestry\, embroidery\, woodwork\, etc.)</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong><br></strong></p>\n<p>Submission Guidelines</p>\n<p>All submissions or queries should be emailed to perspectives@ucd.ie. The piece should be submitted as a PDF and be compatible with an A4/5 print format. The subject title of your email submission should include &lsquo\;Perspectives 2021&rsquo\; followed by &lsquo\;cover art&rsquo\;. Please include (1) a separate contributor&rsquo\;s information sheet with your name\, short bio-note\, and permanent email address\, and (2) a blurb containing the title of the piece and a brief write-up about the piece highlighting its connection to the theme of &lsquo\;Social Philosophy&rsquo\;.</p>\n<p>Prize Recipient Announcement Date: 7 December 2021</p>
