DESCRIPTION:<p>The University of Pennsylvania chapter of MAP (Minorities and Philosophy) is pleased to announce our sixth conference:&nbsp\;<em>MAP-Penn Conference on Philosophy of Disability and Illness.&nbsp\;</em></p>\n<p>For this conference\, we are soliciting <strong>anonymized</strong> abstracts of 500-750 words on any aspect of Philosophy of Disability and/or Philosophy of Illness. This includes\, but is not limited to\, disability and/or illness-related conceptual and normative issues in philosophy of law\, in medical ethics\, in bioethics\,&nbsp\;in general ethics\,&nbsp\;in the history of philosophy\, in social and political philosophy\, in social epistemology\, in one&rsquo\;s personal experiences as a philosopher\, and in philosophy teaching practices.</p>\n<p>Please send abstracts to trosenq@sas.upenn.edu with subject line 'MAP Conference' by January 3\, 2022.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The abstracts should be prepared for anonymous review and submitted in .pdf\, .docx\, or .doc format.&nbsp\;Please specify your name\, institutional role\, and institution (if any) in the body of the email.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Presenters will be notified about the status of their submission via email by the end of January.</p>\n<p>Conference dates: April 8-10\, 2022.</p>\n<p>The conference will take place online.</p>\n<p>Keynote Speakers: Havi Carel (University of Bristol)\, Joseph Stramondo (San Diego State University) and Jasmine E.
