Professor&nbsp\;Calhoun&nbsp\;will deliver three lectures on the topic&nbsp\;<em>Responsible persons</em>\, each of which will be commented on by a renowned scholar.&nbsp\;<br>Parallel to the lectures\, we will host a workshop on the topic of&nbsp\;<em>Taking Responsibility</em>. For this workshop\, we invite submissions in the form of extended abstracts (up to 1000 words) by&nbsp\;28th&nbsp\;February.&nbsp\;Unfortunately\, we are not able to fund accommodation or travel costs of those selected to present\,&nbsp\;but please indicate&nbsp\;in your cover sheet&nbsp\;if you are a scholar with no travel/research funds and this is the only obstacle&nbsp\;to your participation&nbsp\;(we might be able&nbsp\;to find some&nbsp\;travel funds&nbsp\;for eligible early career scholars).&nbsp\;<br>&nbsp\;<br>We will&nbsp\;prioritize&nbsp\;papers dealing with practical dimensions of responsibility.&nbsp\;Relevant topics include but are not limited&nbsp\;to:&nbsp\;&nbsp\;<br>&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>-&nbsp\;Responsibility\, oppression and discrimination&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>- Values and responsibility&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>-Responsibility&nbsp\;and reactive attitudes&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>- Practical restrictions to responsibility (psychiatric disorders\, socio-economic\,&nbsp\;etc)&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>- The psychology of responsibility attributions&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>-&nbsp\;Relationship between&nbsp\;moral and non-moral responsibility&nbsp\;(eg.&nbsp\;epistemic\, aesthetic)&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>- Responsibility of and within relationships&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>-&nbsp\;Responsibility beyond humanity (Artificial Intelligence systems\, non-human animals\,&nbsp\;etc.)&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>-&nbsp\;Responsibility beyond the individual (groups\, families\, social organizations\, countries\, etc.)&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>-&nbsp\;Scaffolding of responsibilities&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>- Reparation and apologies&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>- Responsibility and social change&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>- Ameliorative notions of responsibility&nbsp\;<br>&nbsp\;<br>Abstracts&nbsp\;should be&nbsp\;submitted ready for blind review via&nbsp\;https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=descarteslectures22.
