DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Siracusa Seminar on Ancient Greek Philosophy\, July 18-29\, 2022</strong></p>\n<p>Phillip Mitsis of NYU will be the Guest Professor and Plato&rsquo\;s <em>Euthyphro </em>will be the focus of the 2022 Siracusa Seminar on Ancient Greek Philosophy. The goal of the seminar is to help graduate students and professors of philosophy develop skills reading Greek and to produce a volume containing a new annotated translation of the dialogue with essays from participants. The program combines cultural activities and Greek language study with academic lectures and presentations. Participants live and study on the picturesque island of Ortigia\, where they can visit ancient Greek temples\, swim in the sea\, and experience the vibrant nightlife. <a name="_Hlk88926129"></a></p>\n<p>Details\, including fees and financial aid opportunities are available at&nbsp\;https://www.exedramc.com/course/siracusa-summer-seminar-2022/</p>\n<p>March 15 is the early application deadline (necessary if applying for a scholarship).</p>\n<p><em>Those who pay their deposit for the Seminar by March 15 may follow an online course in the Spring session free!</em></p>\n<p>May 15 is the deadline for submitting an abstract for presentation</p>\n<p>Applications for participation without presenting a paper will be accepted as long as space permits.</p>
