We invite contributions for an edited volume on the intersections of communication and race\, broadly construed. Contributions may be approached philosophically or from an interdisciplinary perspective. Possible topics include\, but are not limited to\, how we communicate about race\, what one&rsquo\;s race communicates to others and/or to ourselves\, ethics/functions/nature of racial slurs\, epistemic\, metaphysical and theological considerations of race\, and the like.
\nThis collection of essays will be compiled\, edited and submitted to top academic presses for consideration for publication\, with the anticipated release being late 2022 or early 2023.
\nWhile the quality\, originality and fit will be the determining factors\, we are particularly interested in contributions that maintain at least a modest level of accessibility. We are also particularly interested in contributions from members of groups that are underrepresented in philosophy\, be it race\, gender\, sexual orientation\, ethnicity\, nationality\, (dis)ability\, religion\, and age. We invite submission contributors to self-identify\, if they so choose.
\nSubmissions should be between 6\,000 and 12\,000 words\, not including notes and references\, and sent as a word or pdf document to Dr. Leland Harper at Lharper3@sienaheights.edu.
