DESCRIPTION:<p>The Department of Philosophy at the University of Calgary invites submissions from graduate students for its 10th Annual Philosophy Graduate Conference. The theme of this year&rsquo\;s conference is the epistemology of disagreement.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Paper topics may include but are not limited to:&nbsp\;</p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Peer disagreement</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Experts and the laity</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Disagreement skepticism</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Philosophy of agreement</p>\n</li>\n<li>\n<p>Dissent</p>\n</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We also welcome submissions from those working in areas other than social epistemology\, such as the philosophy of science.</p>\n<p>Dates: May 4 &ndash\; May 5\, 2022.</p>\n<p>Format: This conference will be held online.</p>\n<p>Keynote speakers: Jennifer Lackey of Northwestern University and Thomas Kelly of Princeton University.</p>\n<p>Submissions should be papers of up to 3000 words (excluding notes and bibliography)\, prepared for blind review\, and suitable for a 20-minute presentation. Submissions should also include a short (200 word) abstract.</p>\n<p>Organizers especially encourage submissions from members of marginalized groups.</p>\n<p>Deadline for submission is February 1st\, 2022 at 12 p.m. mountain time.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Papers must be submitted via EasyChair: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ucpgc2022</p>\n<p>All questions about submissions should be emailed to: ucalgaryphilconference2022@gmail.com.</p>
