DESCRIPTION:<p>Ethical approaches to the body\, as evidenced in dominant medical and demographic discourses often disregard the specificity of embodied experiences.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;This conference aims to engage feminist scholars in a series of discussions concerned with problematizing ethical perspectives concerned with the body and with ways in which the body is localized and situated within philosophical discourse.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Paper topics may include but are not limited to the following:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Feminist Medical Ethics</li>\n<li>Ethics of Disability</li>\n<li>Ethical considerations of non-human bodies</li>\n<li>Sustaining bodies</li>\n<li>Food Ethics</li>\n<li>The intersectional body</li>\n<li>Care Ethics</li>\n<li>Ethics of Race</li>\n<li>Maternal Bodies and Ethics</li>\n</ul>\n<p>250 word abstracts ought to be prepared for blind review and submitted via email to: Roxy Green (rmgreen1@ualr.edu</a>)\, Allison Merrick (axmerrick@ualr.edu</a>)\, and Namita Goswami (namita.goswami@indstate.edu</a>).&nbsp\;Please put &ldquo\;ESWIP Submission&rdquo\; in the subject line of your email.&nbsp\;<strong>Abstracts must be received by March 29th.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;Determinations will be made and participants will be notified the first week of April.</strong></p>\n&nbsp\;
