To register\, please contact the organiser at&nbsp\;caterina.moruzzi@uni-konstanz.de&nbsp\;
\n

\n
Description
\n
This workshop brings together experts from different disciplines - philosophy\, computer science\, and the arts - who share an interest for one or more of the notions of agency\, life\, and creativity. Its aim is that of discussing the reciprocal influence that these notions have on one another when we attribute them to natural or artificial systems. Talks have been grouped under four main titles: `The Nature of Creativity'\, `New Paradigms of Creativity'\, `Life and Learning in Artificial Agents'\, and `Artificial Agents and Scientific Discoveries'. The influence of the questions asked during each presentation\, however\, extends beyond its own section\, to involve cross-disciplinary and cross-thematic discussions on the nature of agency\, life\, and creativity\, and their implementation in artificial systems.
\n

\n
Program
\n
Friday 18 February 2022
\n
09:40-09:45&nbsp\;Opening remarks
\n
The Nature of Creativity
\n
09:45-11:15&nbsp\;Dr. Ulrike Pompe-Alama\, University of Stuttgart: &ldquo\;Sorry\, I didn&rsquo\;t mean to make you laugh!&rdquo\; On the Role of Intent in Creativity
\n
11:30-13.00&nbsp\;Prof. Geraint Wiggins\, Vrije Universiteit Brussel &amp\; Queen Mary University of London:&nbsp\;Creativity\, Meaning and Consciousness: A Challenge to Artificial Intelligence
\n
New Paradigms of Creativity
\n
13:45-15:15&nbsp\;Liat Grayver\, Artist:&nbsp\;Holistic Technologies - Algorithm for the Body and Mind
\n
15:30-17:00&nbsp\;Prof. Dr. Oliver Deussen and Marvin G&uuml\;lzow\, University of Konstanz: e-David: How Painting Strategies Influence Creativity in Robotic Painting
\n
Saturday 19 February 2022
\n
Life and Learning in Artificial Agents
\n
09:45-11:15&nbsp\;Prof. Dr. Claus Beisbart\, University of Bern:&nbsp\;How Much Life in &ldquo\;Game of Life&rdquo\;?
