DESCRIPTION:<p>The&nbsp\;Paternalism\, Health\, and Public Policy Project (funded by the Wellcome Trust) is pleased to announce its third workshop.</p>\n<p><strong>'Paternalism and Groups'</strong>. 16th- 17th June 2022\, Oxford. Co-hosted with the&nbsp\;Ethox Centre\, University of Oxford.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>The workshop will focus on policies designed to promote the health of&nbsp\;<em>groups</em>. One important issue to be considered\, concerns the extent to which such interventions can be carried out&nbsp\;&lsquo\;against the will of&rsquo\;&nbsp\;or&nbsp\;&lsquo\;for the sake of&rsquo\;&nbsp\;those subject to them\, given the diversity of preferences and interests within large populations.</p>\n<p>To register for the workshop\, please email: phppproject@gmail.com</p>\n<p>We have reserved one slot at the workshop for either a graduate student or early career researcher (defined as within 10 years of viva at the date of the workshop).&nbsp\;<strong>To apply</strong>&nbsp\;for one of these slots\, please send a 500-word\, anonymised abstract to&nbsp\;<a>phppproject@gmail.com</a>&nbsp\;by 7th February 2022.
