DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Time: &nbsp\;</strong><strong>11.00 AM &ndash\; 5.00 PM</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Keynote Speaker: Dr Bridget Gilfillan-Upton</strong></p>\n<p><strong><em>Title: Who they say Mary is: The characterisation of Mary Magdalene in film and Gospel</em></strong></p>\n<p>How does the reading of texts &ndash\; whether privileged canonical scripture\, classic philosophical and theological writing\, or more broadly conceived as cultural artefacts &ndash\; form and affect communities of interpretation? &nbsp\;The reception of &lsquo\;the text&rsquo\; is a topic of inquiry in a variety of disciplines\, as is engagement with texts more generally.
