DESCRIPTION:
The 6th Boston Phenomenology Circle Spring Symposium will take place April 8th-9th\, 2022 at Boston College and Boston University (currently planned for in-person). This year&rsquo\;s symposium\, &ldquo\;Margins of Phenomenology\,&rdquo\; will bring together scholars who wield phenomenology in ways that push the boundaries of the field\, both in terms of the topics and themes that are the objects of phenomenological research\, and the figures that are included in the phenomenological canon. In particular\, we hope to bring attention to resources in phenomenology that bear on ongoing debates in the philosophy of race\, philosophy of gender\, philosophy of disability\, philosophy of religion\, feminist philosophy\, queer philosophy\, and post-colonial philosophy.&nbsp\;
\n
Each day will feature three speakers and three respondents\, with ample time for audience discussion. Additional scheduling and location details will be circulated closer to the event. Please direct all questions to Magnus Ferguson (fergusmf@bc.edu) and Micah Trautmann (mitraut@bu.edu).
\n
Featured Presenters:
\n
Joel Reynolds (Georgetown University)
\n
Shiloh Whitney (Fordham University)
\n
Samantha Matherne (Harvard University)
\n
Lisa Guenther (Queen's University at Kingston)
\n
Kris Sealey (Fairfield University)
\n
Crina Gschwandtner (Fordham University)
