DESCRIPTION:<ul><li>Postgraduate and Postdoctoral Symposium</li>\n<li>Hosted by the&nbsp\;Birmingham Centre for the Philosophy of Religion</a></li>\n<li>Sponsored by Research England QR Enhancing Research and Knowledge Exchange Funding Programme</li>\n</ul>\n<p>This two-day (in-person) symposium will focus on two aspects:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>New approaches to philosophy of religion (e.g. disciplinary innovation/combination of philosophy with other disciplines\; dialogue between analytic and continental approaches\; feminist approaches\; science-engaged theology/philosophy or empirically-informed theology/philosophy)</li>\n<li>Global perspectives and/or non-western traditions (e.g. ethnic difference in methodology\; new approaches to traditional &lsquo\;problems&rsquo\; in the philosophy of religion).</li>\n</ul>\n<p>We invite current postgraduate research students or those who have recently received their PhDs (UK and International) to share their research in a &lsquo\;poster&rsquo\; short presentation format (10 min). This research should fit into the topics or approaches of the two aspects noted above.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;<strong>The maximum number of places awarded will be 20</strong>&nbsp\;in order to give opportunity for each participant to share their work in a plenary format\, engage in discussion and receive feedback from academics and peers. &nbsp\;As part of the symposium there will be a training workshop focussed on making postdoc grant applications.</p>\n<p><strong>Travel expenses\, meals and accommodation will be provided to successful applicants.</strong></p>\nApplication process:\n<p>Please email your most recent CV and a short outline of your presentation (300-500 words) by 5pm on Monday 7&nbsp\;February 2022 to:</p>\n<p>Ryan Maze:&nbsp\;&nbsp\;rcm109@student.bham.ac.uk</a></p>
