DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>&sect\; REVISED CALL FOR PAPERS &sect\;</strong></p>\n\n<p><strong>22nd Annual </strong></p>\n<p><strong>Southern Appalachian Undergraduate Philosophy Conference</strong></p>\n\n<p><strong>The University of North Carolina at Asheville</strong></p>\n<p><strong>The Liberal Arts Campus of the University of North Carolina</strong></p>\n\n<p><strong><u>Rescheduled</u></strong><strong>: April 15-16\, 2022 [in person\, as conditions allow]</strong></p>\n\n<p>Our symposium provides a professional style philosophical forum for aspiring undergraduates to present significant and original work.&nbsp\; All papers will be evaluated by blind review process.&nbsp\; At the conference\, judges from universities with important graduate programs will determine prizes for the top three presentations [1st place--$175\; 2nd place--$125\; 3rd place--$100].</p>\n<p><strong>We are honored to announce that our judges and keynote speakers this year will be:</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Shannon Sullivan [University of North Carolina--Charlotte]</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Dr. Felipe De Brigard [Duke University]</strong></p>\n\n<p>Please submit each of the following as <u>three</u> <u>separate MS Word or pdf files</u> to ddavis@unca.edu:</p>\n<p>&uml\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; a paper</p>\n<p>&uml\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; an abstract</p>\n<p>&uml\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\;&nbsp\; a separate cover sheet with name and affiliation</p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Papers</strong> on any philosophical topic are welcome.&nbsp\; Papers should be designed for a 20-minute presentation time [approximately 10 standard double-spaced pages].&nbsp\; The paper should <u>not</u> contain the author's name or institutional affiliation.</p>\n<p><strong>Abstracts</strong> should be one paragraph\, double-spaced\, no more than 150 words.&nbsp\; These abstracts should <u>not</u> contain the author's name or institutional affiliation.</p>\n<p><strong>Cover sheets</strong> should be on a separate sheet\, and <u>should</u> contain the title of the paper\, the author's name\, and the author's institutional affiliation\, address\, e-mail address\, and phone number.</p>\n\n<p><strong>EXTENDED DEADLINE!&nbsp\; Submissions must be received by 5:00p.m. </strong><strong><u>FRIDAY\, FEBRUARY 18\, 2022</u></strong><strong></strong></p>\n<p><strong>&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p><strong>Participants will be notified soon after Friday March 4\, 2022</strong><strong></strong></p>\n\n<p>For submissions or further information\, please contact:</p>\n\n<p>Dr. Duane H.
