DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Call For Papers: Workshop on the Philosophy of Smell\, May 4-6\, 2022</strong></p>\n<p>The Department of Philosophy at the University of Nevada\, Reno will be hosting a workshop on the Philosophy of Smell on May 4-6\, 2022. The workshop will bring together established and early career philosophers working on smell with the hope of initiating a series of workshops in the coming years.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Our keynote speaker will be Barry Smith&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Invited speakers include:</p>\n<p>Clare Batty</p>\n<p>Ophelia Deroy</p>\n<p>Andreas Keller</p>\n<p>Bill Lycan</p>\n<p>Additionally\, the workshop will include a number of contributed presentations from upcoming philosophers of smell.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>We invite graduate students\, post-docs\, and early career researchers (within 5 years of attaining their PhD) to submit short high-quality papers for presentation in any area of philosophy related to smell\, olfaction\, taste\, or flavor.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Those selected for presentations will be provided with an honorarium.</p>\n<p><strong>Submission Deadline: Monday\, April 4th\, 2022.&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p>Accepted submission will be notified by April 11.</p>\n<p>Please submit two separate documents. The first (prepared for blind review) should include the title\, a 400-600 word abstract\, and a 3000 word paper. Papers should be suitable for a 30 minute presentation.
