DESCRIPTION:<p>The Meetings on Ethics and Political Philosophy is an annual event organized by the&nbsp\;<a target="_blank">Centre for Ethics\, Politics and Society (CEPS)</a>&nbsp\;at&nbsp\; the&nbsp\; University of Minho (Braga). This year the Meetings will be organized around a series of panels focusing on the Center&rsquo\;s research agenda.</p>\n<p>Panel 16:&nbsp\;<a target="_blank">Revisiting the Difference Principle and its Competitors</a>.&nbsp\;In this panel\, we will discuss the success of the Difference Principle and the challenges posed by competitors and critics. We intend to confront these hypotheses with the demands of ideal theory &ndash\; justification\, coherence\, parsimony\, etc. &ndash\; and with empirical circumstances that favor some over others.</p>
